4.16.2009 | Don't go in there

You never cover as much ground as you hope to. The feet just can't hold out that long and your energy, despite all optimism, withers. Today, we took a train out to the Olympiastadion, a Third Reich symbol of military and racial fitness. The stadium has been beautifully restored; its art deco likeness of the Roman Coliseum is unmistakeable.

At Schloss Charlottenburg, Andrew walked into the women's bathroom and didn't know it. Well, he knew it, but he thought that it was just a co-ed bathroom, a possibility in a foreign country, right? Well, apparently a man standing in the hall said something to him as he sailed past the entrance to the men's bathroom. Of course, Andrew didn't understand him and assumed he was talking for some other reason. Aside from some strange looks and words he didn't understand from some women he saw at the sink in the bathroom, there were no ill consequences to his little wrong turn. I'm getting a lot of mileage out of the chuckles though.
