Dave's parents sent us a bunch of pictures they took during their visit, all of them containing people. I don't like to take pictures of people as a general rule, at least not in the snapshot - look here I am - kind of way. Sometimes that's a bad thing and I can appreciate other people's vacations shots. My favorite one is of all of us - minus Dave's mom - sitting in the back of bus 78-3. I spend so much time on the buses here. It never occurred to me that I should take a picture of one of them, much less of me on one. Anyway, here we all are, sitting in the back which is the seat that gives you the best ride for your won. This bus is new and clean. It was the morning we went to Kangwha Island. So early the sun hadn't woken up and it was raining in biblical proportions. We were all damp, but we still look happy. I think it's because we're all watching Cris trying to keep her balance on this careening bus. From left to right we have Dave, Jessica, Maria, Robert, and me. Dave's face is a little warped. I think it's the camera's fault... I think.

Another one of the pictures they sent that I like a lot proves that we did in fact eat a Korean meal while Dave's family was here. This was taken at our favorite restaurant in the city, one we visit often, called Pul Hyang Gi. Delicious vegetarian Korean food. I like to think of a Korean meal as my own private buffet. All those tiny bowls and plates come with something different and the dining experience consists of pinching up little bites of all these different tastes. So good - at least to Dave and me. Again from left to right, going around the back end of the table, we have Maria, me, Dave, Cris (his mom), and Robert (his dad).
