I have nothing in particular to write about, but I do have time, so I'm going to just try some free writing and see how that goes. Usually it doesn't go that well because I make a typo about every 5 letters which makes me have to hit the backspace a few times (as I almost never catch it until I'm already a few strokes beyond), which interrupts my train of that. Pity. Maybe if I optimize my sitting position I'll type better... Better? Catn - Uh. No. Screw it.

I'll talk about how cold it is in here right now. I have the AC on because earlier while I was taking notes on the chapter I read about the outcome of the Russian revolution, I thought it would be nice to drink some green tea and listen to some Tori Amos. I figured the heat from the tea would make me feel more hot in the already borderline hot room and so I should just not even worry about it and turn in the AC, which I did and now it's too cold but we will work out in 1/2 hour so I might as well leave it on. I have goosebumps, but I'll live.

Time out for chewing.

I'm trying really hard not to finish this Power Bar because I don't want the lump of it in my stomach to hinder my workout potential today. I had a particularly sucky one Monday and I don't want a repeat, especially since I've reached some kind of stage where I feel like the exercise is not one damn bit of good. We have heavier weights now. Got them Saturday morning all the way over at Tongdaemun. (Did I already write about this? I can't remember.) Anyway, we went earlier Saturday and purchased a set each of 7 kilos and 12 kilos. There was a guy in the store who was really tall and had some kind of awesome chest leading him around. Man. He was buying 12's and passed us on the street in his car later when Dave and I were walking to the curb to hail a cab; I was carrying the 7's and Dave the 12's. I guess we thought initially we'd take the train but the 12's didn't take long to start hurting Dave's arms so he just muttered, "Let's get a cab." I was like, "Yeah, great idea." Got a super-nice cab driver who expressed absolutely no disliking for carting us way, way, way, across the other side of the river to our home. Great luck that was. Maybe he felt sympathy because of our heavy load. So Monday we used the new weights for the first time. The 7's didn't really affect me much. More difficulty sure, but not the kind that strains the muscles and makes them keep all those nasty substances that make them so sore. Usually I use 5's and 9's, but for some muscle groups the jump from 5 to 9 is too great so I needed something in between. Triceps, for example. Sigh. I don't know what to do about them: They're so weak. It's unbelievable! I can lift so much more with my biceps it seems. And triceps are supposed to be bigger.... I just keep hoping that other exercises are wearing them out by the time I get to them and that's why they seem so deficient.

I need water to dissolve the Power Bar.
