4.13.2009 | Party's over: post-release depression and the stinky search for showers

No prize, but good feedback keeps rolling in. It's nice to see.

I'd wanted to see more of this little village, but when we returned to the hotel this afternoon, the exhaustion took hold and I went right to sleep until dinnertime.

It's been almost 80 degrees and clear during the days, but the past couple of nights a fog and wind have settled, cooling and obscuring things. It's strange to have a wind and a fog, and it makes me think that it's not really fog we're in.

We crawled out for dinner around nine. Went to a riverfront cafe that had a view of the dark, lapping river. We watched trees on the quai bend and quiver. The food was unremarkable and familair, but it was good to eat something besides imbiss pizza and endless volumes of coke and weak beer.
